The Danube Club complex constitutes one of
the most beatiful potentials for a sporting-recreational function on the Danube
river bank within Bratislava. The success of the project is based on the synergic
effect to be gained from the accumulation of cross-supporting and complementary
sporting-recreational activities. The project kicked off in 1993 with refurbishment
and renewal of the Slovak Rowing Club´s functionalist building. The Fitness
Club building follows, a development study further envisages the restoration
of a Pečenské rameno branch segment and the erection of an attractive shipyard
for small vessels, together with marine outfit and a housing unit
